Indian Rupee increases to 83.46 against USD, third consecutive week of gains, driven by domestic equity markets and foreign fund inflows.

The Indian Rupee (INR) rose by 6 paise to 83.46 against the US Dollar (USD) on September 23, 2024, marking its third consecutive week of gains. This appreciation was fueled by strong domestic equity markets and significant foreign fund inflows, totaling ₹14,064.05 crore. However, rising crude oil prices and a robust USD limited gains. The BSE Sensex and Nifty reached record highs, while India's foreign reserves increased to $689.458 billion.
