Taiwan's Kinmen island received its first mainland China tour group in 4 years on September 22.

Kinmen, a Taiwanese island, welcomed its first tour group from mainland China in over four years on September 22. The group of over 20 tourists arrived from Xiamen, Fujian Province, for a two-day sightseeing trip. This visit follows the Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism's decision on August 30 to permit Fujian residents to travel to Kinmen, aiming to enhance cross-Strait exchanges. Local legislator Chen Yu-jen urged the lifting of restrictions on Taiwanese tours to the mainland.
