300-kg WW1 artillery shell removed safely from Belgrade construction site near Parliament, 60 km destroyed.

A 300-kilogram World War I artillery shell, a 305mm "Morser M.11" howitzer used by the Austro-Hungarian army, was safely removed from a construction site near Serbia's Parliament in Belgrade. Found last Wednesday, residents were advised to evacuate during the removal process. The shell was destroyed 60 kilometers away. Serbia has seen similar bomb discoveries, all removed without incident.
