The Indian Railway Ministry has launched a special campaign to combat ticketless travel, focusing on police personnel among the top violators. This initiative will run from October 1-15 and October 25-November 10, enforcing the Railway Act of 1989. The move aims to address complaints about unauthorized travelers and enhance public perception of police. Recently, Indian Railways detected over 36 million fare evaders, collecting fines of approximately Rs 2,231.74 crore.
