10 donor-recipient pairs reunite in Singapore on World Marrow Donor Day, as the Bone Marrow Donor Programme (BMDP) urges more Malays and Indians to register as donors.

On World Marrow Donor Day, ten donor-recipient pairs, including Mr. Lim Wee Kiat and Ho Wen Qing, reunited in Singapore. Mr. Lim donated bone marrow to Ho, a then four-year-old with aplastic anemia, which can be fatal. The Bone Marrow Donor Programme (BMDP) has facilitated over 1,165 transplants since its 1993 founding. The BMDP urges more Malays and Indians to register as donors, as they currently represent a small percentage of its registry.
