CBI files bribery case against customs superintendent Ramesh Chandra Tripathi in Bengaluru.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a case against Ramesh Chandra Tripathi, a customs superintendent at the Inland Container Depot in Whitefield, Bengaluru, following allegations of bribery. A joint operation with Customs and Central Tax officers led to the recovery of ₹25 lakh in cash and incriminating documents from his residence. The operation, conducted on September 20-21, 2024, was prompted by intelligence on Tripathi's illicit activities.
