A 40-year-old woman from Philo was involved in a train collision on Friday morning in Champaign County. While stopped at a stop sign, she misjudged her position relative to the tracks despite activated warning lights. A train struck her vehicle from behind, but she was hospitalized as a precaution and showed no obvious injuries. She received citations for stopping where prohibited and for having an expired registration.
