Lisa Barney, a 54-year-old woman from Oakland, Maine, has been arrested and charged with manslaughter related to the death of a 4-month-old infant. The child died on September 8, 2023, following an incident on August 31, which was later ruled a homicide by the medical examiner. After a year-long investigation, Barney was indicted by a Grand Jury and is currently held at Kennebec County Jail with bail set at $100,000.
