Westbrook police are investigating gunshots fired around 11:30 p.m. on Friday near Spring Street, Brackett Street, and East Valentine Street. Authorities seek public assistance for any security camera footage from 11:15 p.m. to midnight that may show the suspect. Citizens are advised not to touch any shell casings found and to report them to police. The investigation is ongoing, but there is currently no threat to public safety.
