Election Commission to visit Jharkhand and Maharashtra for Assembly election preparation evaluation.
The Election Commission (EC) plans to visit Jharkhand and Maharashtra next week to evaluate preparations for upcoming Assembly elections. While previously considering simultaneous polls, the elections will be decoupled due to scheduling conflicts. Jharkhand's term ends January 5, 2025, and Maharashtra's on November 26. The EC has yet to finalize election dates, as other elections in Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana are also approaching.
