Crabapples, a new desert fruit from China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, are being exported to Southeast Asian nations such as Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand. These sweet, nutritious fruits are grown in the Horqin Sandy Land and are known for their cold-resistance and drought-tolerance. With over 100,000 tonnes produced annually, the crabapple industry in Tongliao has an output value nearing 500 million yuan, supporting both ecological and economic goals.
