Cincinnati Reds player Elly De La Cruz made history by stealing his 100th base during a win against the Pittsburgh Pirates. This achievement places him alongside Vince Coleman and Rickey Henderson as the only players with 100+ stolen bases in their first two MLB seasons. De La Cruz is also the first to reach 100 stolen bases and 30 home runs in his initial two seasons. The Reds won 8-3, marking the Pirates' sixth consecutive losing season.
