ARIES and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on Space Situational Awareness (SSA) technologies, enhancing the tracking of space objects to ensure satellite safety. This partnership, supported by India's Ministry of Defence, aims to prevent collisions and will utilize ARIES's advanced telescopes, including the 4m International Liquid Mirror Telescope. The initiative aligns with India's 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' and 'Make-in-India' campaigns, incorporating training and development of new technologies.
