A 43-year-old Calgary man, Wayne Aaron Canning, was arrested for carjacking a woman and her son on September 8, shortly after being released from custody. The victim was assaulted while trying to prevent the theft of her 2007 Kia Rio, which remains missing. Canning was apprehended on September 13 and faces charges including robbery and theft. Authorities are seeking public assistance in locating the stolen vehicle.
