Woman fatally shot by police in Surrey, British Columbia during domestic disturbance.
A woman was fatally shot by police in Surrey, British Columbia, on September 19 after barricading herself in a room with a weapon and a toddler during a domestic disturbance. The Surrey RCMP responded to the call around 4:40 a.m. An officer fired their weapon during an interaction, and despite medical assistance, the woman died at the scene. The child and two adults were unharmed. The Independent Investigations Office of B.C. is investigating.
