West Yorkshire Police officer Caitlin Howarth faced controversy after dating convicted drug dealer Joseph Shaw, a former contestant on Channel 4's First Dates. Shaw was imprisoned for six-and-a-half years for his role in a £1.5 million drug operation. Howarth later had an affair with her superior, Chief Superintendent Daniel Greenwood, who resigned before a misconduct hearing. Although Howarth was suspended and charged with misconduct, the case against her was dropped.
