Warrior Met Coal has agreed to a $250,000 settlement to address a lawsuit over a leaking coal slurry impoundment at Mine No. 7 in Alabama. The company will implement measures to prevent further wastewater discharges into Texas Creek, enroll in Alabama's Dam Safety Program, and conduct testing to ensure the effectiveness of remediation plans. Additionally, it will pay $250,000 to the Freshwater Land Trust and reimburse Black Warrior Riverkeeper $28,000 in legal fees.
