KJ Apa to play late Sublime frontman Bradley Nowell in upcoming biopic on the band's rise.

KJ Apa, known for his role in "Riverdale," will portray Bradley Nowell, the late lead singer of the ska-punk band Sublime, in an upcoming biopic. Directed by Justin Chon and produced by 3000 Pictures, the film will focus on Sublime's rise to fame, particularly after their 1996 album release, shortly after Nowell's death. The project is backed by members of Sublime, Nowell's son Jakob, and widow Troy as executive producers.
