Kenyan High Court allows Meta Platforms to be sued over content moderator union dismissals.
The Kenyan High Court ruled that Meta Platforms, Facebook's parent company, can be sued over the dismissal of content moderators by a local contractor. The moderators alleged they were terminated after forming a union and were blacklisted from reapplying for similar jobs. The Court of Appeal upheld a previous labor court ruling, dismissing Meta's appeals as meritless and ordering the company to pay costs for the plaintiffs.
