India's GeM platform reduces transaction charges for sellers and MSMEs, effective August 9.

The Government e-Marketplace (GeM) in India has cut transaction charges for sellers and service providers, effective August 9, as part of a broader initiative to enhance business accessibility. Orders up to Rs 10 lakh now incur no charges, while those between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 10 crore face a reduced fee of 0.30%. Nearly 97% of transactions will be charge-free, significantly benefiting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by easing financial burdens.
