A 78-year-old woman from Saginaw, Michigan, died in a fiery crash on southbound I-75 near Bridgeport on September 19. Her GMC Acadia was first sideswiped by a Peterbilt semi-truck and then struck by a Freightliner, causing it to catch fire. The woman could not be rescued and was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck drivers were unharmed, and southbound lanes were closed for nearly three hours for investigation.
