2-year-old fatally shot in Great Falls, investigation ongoing for unsecured firearm access.
A 2-year-old boy was fatally shot at a home on Washington Street in Great Falls, Chester County, on September 18. He was pronounced dead at a Lancaster hospital. The Great Falls Police Department and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division are investigating how an unsecured firearm was accessed. A 7-year-old family member has been placed in emergency protective custody by the South Carolina Department of Social Services. The investigation is ongoing.
