He criticizes the Department for Business for delaying payouts, claiming the Group Litigation Order scheme benefits lawyers at the victims' expense. While 201 out of 492 eligible subpostmasters have received compensation, Bates insists swift action is needed to address the financial harm caused by the faulty software.
