A Federal Court judge has affirmed that Rebel News, a far-right media outlet, does not qualify for Canadian journalism tax credits due to insufficient original content. The Canada Revenue Agency rejected Rebel News' application in May 2021, finding that less than 1% of its output was original news. Justice Ann Marie McDonald ruled the agency's decision was reasonable, noting only 10 out of 423 assessed reports were original.
