China's C919 aircraft successfully landed at Lhasa Gonggar International Airport, marking a key milestone in its testing program for ultra-high-altitude operations. The flight, which lasted over two hours from Chengdu, will involve assessments of critical systems like environmental control and avionics. Since its commercial debut in May 2023, nine C919 jets have accumulated significant operational experience, supporting over 500,000 passengers across more than 3,700 flights.
