Cayce, SC appoints Herbert Blake as new Police Chief from Buncombe County, replacing Chris Cowan.

The City of Cayce, South Carolina, has appointed Herbert Blake as the new Chief of the Cayce Police Department. Currently serving as Chief Deputy of the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office in North Carolina, Blake will retire on September 30, 2024, to assume his new role. With extensive law enforcement experience and advanced degrees, he replaces Chris Cowan, who left for a position at the University of South Carolina.
