Colleen Kelly O'Connor, a 58-year-old caregiver from East Lansing, has been sentenced to two years of probation, including six months in jail, for her negligence in the death of an 82-year-old woman under her care. On December 23, 2022, the victim succumbed to hypothermia after being left unsupervised during a blizzard. O'Connor failed to prevent the woman from going outside improperly dressed. She must also pay $1,115 in restitution.
