The Indian government has approved Rs 8,240 crore for the Next-Generation Launch Vehicle (NGLV), aimed at enhancing India's space capabilities, including crewed lunar landings by 2040. The NGLV will have a payload capacity three times greater than the current LVM3 vehicle, be partially reusable, and feature green propulsion systems. The development, involving significant Indian industry participation, is expected to take eight years and support various national and commercial missions.
