Hero Future Energies plans $20bn expansion to 30 GW renewable capacity by 2030, backed by KKR and IFC.

Hero Future Energies, part of India's Hero Group, aims to invest $20 billion to expand its renewable energy capacity from 1.9 gigawatts (GW) to 30 GW by 2030. The investment, backed by KKR and IFC, will focus on wind, solar, and battery storage, funded through internal resources and a mix of debt and equity. The company expects to commission 3.4 GW within two years, contributing to India's goal of adding 500 GW of clean energy by 2030.
