Former West Vancouver teacher found guilty of professional misconduct for sending inappropriate messages to female students.

Jeffrey Forden Mooney, a former Grade 7 teacher at a West Vancouver independent school, has been found guilty of professional misconduct for sending inappropriate electronic messages to four female students. The B.C. Teacher Regulation Branch panel determined he abused his position, engaging in sexualized conversations and advising students to keep them secret. Mooney's actions constituted a serious breach of expected teacher conduct. A penalty will be determined later.
