On September 15, 2024, 18-year-old Madison Montgomery-Lukenbill from Belgrade was killed and three other teens were injured in a one-car crash in Gallatin County, Montana. The accident occurred around 1:30 a.m. when a 17-year-old driver lost control of a Volkswagen Beetle, believed to be speeding and under the influence of alcohol. The Montana Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
