William Webster Bragg, a 56-year-old from Aberdeen, South Dakota, has been indicted on seven counts related to computer-generated child pornography, the first case under a new state law enacted in July. He faces up to 15 years for distribution and up to 10 years for each of the six possession counts. The law addresses growing concerns about AI-generated child pornography. His next court appearance is set for October 15, 2024.
