UK DWP warns Universal Credit and PIP recipients to report overseas travel or risk losing benefits.
The UK’s Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) warns Universal Credit and Personal Independence Payment (PIP) recipients to report any overseas travel to avoid losing benefits. Claimants must disclose "any past, present, or future" trips, with a maximum of one month allowed abroad and at least one month in the UK between trips. Benefits can be claimed for up to 13 weeks while overseas, extendable to 26 weeks for medical reasons. Non-compliance may lead to penalties.
