Malaysia's health ministry has confirmed a new mpox (monkeypox) infection, the less severe clade 2 variant, in a local man who began showing symptoms on September 11. This marks the country's 10th mpox case since July 2022, with all cases involving the clade 2 variant. The patient is currently isolated and receiving treatment, while health authorities are tracing contacts per established protocols.
