Nigeria has launched a $550 million upstream gas project at the Ubeta field, developed by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and TotalEnergies. Set to produce 350 million standard cubic feet of gas daily, the initiative is part of President Bola Tinubu's energy reforms aimed at enhancing energy security and attracting investment. These reforms include new executive orders to unlock $2.5 billion in oil and gas investments, furthering U.S.-Nigeria energy collaboration.
