India's Department of Commerce launched initiatives to support SME exports and reduce compliance costs.

In its first 100 days, India's Department of Commerce launched initiatives to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by increasing exports and reducing compliance costs. Key efforts include the Trade Connect e-platform, enhanced insurance for MSME exporters, and the Self-Certified Electronic Bank Realisation Certificate system. The ECEH initiative connects artisans to global markets, while the National Programme of Organic Production aims for organic exports to exceed USD 1 billion by 2025-26.
