Illinois State Police Director Brendan Kelly announced that all 102 counties in Illinois now have access to 911 services, completing a statewide initiative. Stark County, the last to implement this system, partnered with Peoria County to enhance emergency response through a Joint Emergency Telephone System Board. The state has invested over $47 million since 2016 for improved 911 services, including the transition to Next Generation 911, which offers advanced multimedia capabilities for responders.
