The Ghanaian government has shortlisted two bidders to resume the stalled Saglemi Housing Project, initially contracted for $200 million to build 5,000 affordable units. Out of ten interested firms, five submitted bids by July 2024. Deloitte Ghana, the transaction advisors, will assist in selecting the firm with the best negotiating terms. As of January 2017, only 1,506 units were completed or underway, despite $197 million paid to contractors.
