Richard Ellis Williams, a 42-year-old suspended North Wales Police officer, is facing trial on charges of assault and non-fatal strangulation related to an incident involving Steven Clark on May 10, 2023. Initially set for September 16, the trial has been postponed to April 28, 2025, at Caernarfon Crown Court. Williams, who denies the charges, has been granted extended bail. The Independent Office for Police Conduct is reviewing evidence from the incident.
