A 27-year-old man drowned while swimming in Lake Clear, Bonnechere Valley Township, on September 15. He was reported missing after failing to resurface while swimming with friends. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), assisted by local emergency services and community members, conducted an extensive search, locating his body before 7 p.m. A postmortem will determine the cause of death, and Victim Services is assisting the family.
