13-year-old girl sentenced to probation for manslaughter role, participated in mental health program; others charged.
A 13-year-old girl has been sentenced to 15 months of probation for her role in the manslaughter of Toronto homeless man Kenneth Lee. Having already served 15 months in pre-trial custody, she will participate in an Intensive Support and Supervision Program for youth with mental health issues. The judge recognized her accountability and the challenges she faced in custody. Seven other teens were also charged, with three facing second-degree murder charges.
