A new LED device from the University of Washington, emitting alternating orange and blue light, has shown superior effectiveness in boosting melatonin levels compared to traditional lighting. In a small study, this device advanced melatonin production by 1 hour and 20 minutes, outperforming blue and white lights. This innovation could provide a new method to address seasonal affective disorder and other issues linked to disrupted circadian rhythms.
