Forty-nine critically endangered Regent Honeyeaters have been released near Cessnock, Australia, as part of efforts to revive their declining population, which now numbers only 250-300 due to habitat destruction. This release, the third on Mindaribba Local Aboriginal Land Council land, involved collaboration among several organizations. The public is encouraged to report sightings to assist in monitoring the birds’ survival.
