Australian couple acquitted of murdering missing intellectually disabled teenager from 2002.
A couple in Australia has been acquitted of murdering a missing intellectually disabled teenager who vanished over 20 years ago. The 19-year-old, last seen in June 2002, had lived on their property and had a sexual relationship with the man, resulting in a child. During a 28-day trial, evidence showed her mental capacity was akin to that of a 12- or 13-year-old. The couple consistently denied involvement in her disappearance.
