UFC President Dana White announced that Jon Jones will defend his heavyweight title against Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 on November 16 at Madison Square Garden. This long-awaited matchup was delayed due to Jones' pectoral injury. Jones, who won the vacant belt in March 2023, faces Miocic, returning after his last fight in March 2021. The winner is expected to challenge interim champion Tom Aspinall. A rematch between Michael Chandler and Charles Oliveira is also on the card.
