On September 15, 2024, the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama, will commemorate the 61st anniversary of the 1963 bombing that killed four Black girls: Addie Mae Collins, Cynthia Morris Wesley, Carole Robertson, and Carol Denise McNair. The attack, linked to the Ku Klux Klan, also injured over 20 others. The church will hold a service followed by a procession and wreath-laying at the bombing site to honor the victims.
