Pakistan oil & gas reserves grow by 26% oil, 2% gas due to new discoveries, government support, and involvement of OGDC, PPL & Mari Petroleum.

By the end of fiscal year 2024, Pakistan's oil and gas reserves saw significant growth, with crude oil reserves rising by 26% to 243 million barrels and gas reserves increasing by 2% to 18.47 trillion cubic feet. This expansion is largely attributed to new discoveries and government support through the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). Key contributors include OGDC, Pakistan Petroleum Limited, and Mari Petroleum Company. Reforms are expected to enhance investment in the sector.
