The National Pharmacy Association (NPA) reported that six pharmacies closed in Oxfordshire over the past two years, with closures disproportionately impacting deprived and rural areas. This trend has forced residents to travel further for medication, as 87% of council areas in England experienced at least one pharmacy closure. NPA Chief Executive Paul Rees urged the government to take immediate action to stabilize the pharmacy network and address growing health inequalities.
