Libertarian Party wins a seat on Mid-Coast Council with 8,122 votes in the recent local election.

The Libertarian Party, led by Phillip Beazley, has won a seat on the Mid-Coast Council in a recent local election, securing 8,122 votes (28.83%). They outperformed the Independent group E, led by Deputy Mayor Alan Tickle, which received 5,167 votes, and ALP group D, led by Mayor Claire Pontin, with 5,037 votes. Counting of the 78,357 enrolled voters continues, with final results expected after September 16. Eleven councillors will be elected from 58 candidates.
