Indonesia has launched its first electric vehicle (EV) battery factory in Central Sulawesi, powered entirely by renewable energy. This initiative aligns with the country's policy to enhance economic competitiveness and promote environmentally friendly technology, particularly leveraging its rich nickel resources. The factory is projected to produce 210 GWh annually and add 120,000 tons of mixed hydroxide precipitate (MHP) for EV batteries, with investments reaching $30 billion.
